IN SHORT
SnapInk has no account system and no server. Your documents and signatures are stored on your device and are never uploaded to us. We cannot see them, we cannot recover them, and we have nothing to hand over if we are asked for them.
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the SnapInk app for iOS and Android, and when you visit this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
SnapInk is made by Tek-Plus inc., registered in Canada at Laval, QC. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@snapink.ca.
Where data protection law applies to us, we are the data controller for the very limited information described in section 02.
The data we hold about you
Almost none. Here is everything the app touches, and where it goes.
There is no row for your email address, your name, your phone number, your contacts or your location, because the app never asks for them.
What we never do
Permissions the app asks for
Each one is requested at the moment it is first needed, with an explanation, and never in advance.
Camera. To photograph your signature and to scan paper documents. Frames are processed on the device as they arrive and are not written to disk unless you take a shot.
Photo library. Only when you choose to pick an existing image. On iOS this uses the limited-access picker, so we see the one image you select and nothing else in your library.
Files. To open the PDF you pick, and to write an export where you tell us to. We have no standing access to your file system.
Notifications. Optional. Used for one purpose only: reminding you before a free trial converts to a paid subscription.
Device backups
If you use iCloud Backup or Google's device backup, your phone may include SnapInk's local files in that backup. That copy is made by Apple or Google, is governed by their privacy policies, and is not something we can see or control. If you would rather it did not happen, exclude SnapInk in your device's backup settings.
Payments and subscriptions
SnapInk Pro is bought inside the app through the App Store or Google Play. Those companies process the payment, hold your billing details and issue receipts. We never see or store your card details.
To confirm that a subscription is active, the app validates a store receipt. The result we receive tells us whether an entitlement is valid — not who you are.
Crash reports
Crash and error diagnostics are off until you turn them on. When enabled, a report contains the device model, OS version, app version and a stack trace. It contains no document content, no images, no signatures and no identifiers that point back to you. You can switch it off again at any time in Settings.
Children
SnapInk is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app collects essentially no personal data from anyone, there is in practice nothing held about a child for us to delete.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the use of your personal data, including under the GDPR and the CCPA.
Because your data sits on your own device, you exercise most of these rights directly and immediately: delete a signature or a document in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. No request to us is required, and we could not fulfil one for content we never received.
If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, write to privacy@snapink.ca and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
