IN SHORT
SnapInk places your handwritten signature onto a document. It does not certify your identity and it does not make a document legally binding — that depends on your jurisdiction and the document. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and are cancelled in your store account.
These terms are the agreement between you and Tek-Plus inc. for the SnapInk app and this website. Please read section 02 in particular — it describes a real limit on what this app can do for you.
Agreeing to these terms
By installing or using SnapInk you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app. If you are using SnapInk for an employer or a client, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
What SnapInk is, and what it is not
SnapInk is a tool for capturing an image of your handwritten signature and placing it onto a document, then exporting the result as a file. That is the whole of what it does.
SnapInk is not a qualified electronic signature service, and it is not legal advice.
It does not verify your identity, issue certificates, apply cryptographic seals, produce a tamper-evident audit trail or provide trusted timestamps. It is not a qualified or advanced electronic signature provider under eIDAS, and it does not certify compliance with the US ESIGN Act, UETA or any comparable framework.
Whether a document you sign with SnapInk is valid or enforceable depends on your jurisdiction, the kind of document, and the parties involved. If something must be witnessed, notarised, or signed with a qualified electronic signature, SnapInk is not the right tool. When it matters, take your own legal advice.
Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for what you sign and for the consequences of signing it. Because your documents never reach us, we cannot review, moderate or intervene in any of it.
The free version
SnapInk can be used without paying. The free version includes one saved signature, the full scanner and editor, and three exports per calendar month, which carry a small watermark. These limits may change, and we will describe the current ones in the app.
Trial, billing and cancelling
SnapInk Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, bought inside the app through the App Store or Google Play. It cannot be purchased on this website.
Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid weekly subscription. Your store account is charged within 24 hours of the start of each renewal period.
Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does uninstalling it or getting a new phone. We have no ability to cancel it for you.
Prices are shown in USD and may differ by region and store. Apple and Google may adjust local prices in line with currency changes, and we may change the price of a subscription with notice before it affects your next renewal.
Refunds
Payments are taken by Apple or Google, so refunds are theirs to give under their own policies. We cannot issue, process or promise a refund for a store purchase. If you have consumer rights in your country that entitle you to a refund, those rights are not affected by this section.
Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use SnapInk on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, reverse-engineer or decompile it except where the law permits, remove any notices from it, or use it to build a competing product.
Your content stays yours
Your documents, scans and signatures are yours. We claim no ownership and no licence over any of them — which is straightforward for us to promise, because we never receive them. See the Privacy Policy.
Backups and data loss
Everything SnapInk stores lives on your device and nowhere else. If you delete a document, delete the app, lose your phone or reset it, that content is gone and we cannot recover it. Keeping your own copies of anything important is your responsibility.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting older operating systems. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will give reasonable notice and stop charging subscriptions. We may update these terms; if a change is material we will notify you in the app, and continuing to use SnapInk after that means you accept the new version.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapInk is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
In particular, we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that edge detection or background removal will produce a particular result, that an exported file will be accepted by any third party, or that a document signed using SnapInk will be legally valid or enforceable.
Nothing here excludes any liability or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, including your statutory consumer rights.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost data or the cost of substitute services, arising out of your use of SnapInk.
Our total liability to you for all claims relating to SnapInk is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time by cancelling any subscription in your store account and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these terms materially, or if we are required to by law. Sections 08 to 12 survive the end of this agreement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, and disputes will be heard by the courts of Quebec, Canada. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and to rely on the consumer protections available there.
